Paris Perysinakis was born in Athens and grew up in Agios Nikolaos, Crete. At the age of 8 years old he starts Cretan lyre lessons with Kostas Mountakis and three years later he plays professionally at weddings and festivals. At the same time, he was playing the mandolin, the lute and the guitar. In 1991 he comes to Athens where he attends advanced theory courses at the National Conservatory of Athens.
He collaborates with many lyricists and luthiers and participates in more than 300 albums of the wider Greek and ethnic discography. He has played with important Greek orchestras such as Camerata, the Lyric Orchestra, the ERT Varied Music Orchestra, etc.
He has eleven personal albums of Cretan and art music and has written five books on music, repertoire and teaching.
He taught for 6 years at the Music High School of Ilion and for 9 years at the Department of Folk and Traditional Music in Arta. Today she teaches at the National Conservatory of Ilioupolis and at the same time she edits recordings, composes, arranges, writes music for theatre and performs in music scenes.
