Teacher: Paris Perysinakis
The three-stringed pear-shaped lyre found on the islands of the Dodecanese and Crete has now begun to penetrate the so-called “artistic” repertoire. The demands on the instrument have therefore increased since it is called upon to cope with different types of playing, scales, style etc. The student of the course, under the guidance of the teacher, is called upon to draw on his knowledge, to realize it, to identify and eliminate his weaknesses and to raise his musical reading fluency. The comprehensive knowledge of the instrument, within and beyond the music it represents, will give him the ability to cope with both musical and teaching requirements in the future.
